Do I have to bring my own bedding/pillows?
No, bedding is provided in our homes, including clean sheets, blankets, comforters, and pillows. Yes, your bed will be made for you for your arrival.
What cooking/eating utensils will I need?
Our homes are provided with all ordinary cooking equipment, including pans, cutlery, dishware, and glassware. Unless you have a specific requirement, you should not need to bring anything to cook with. Feel free to ask for any particulars.
Do I have to clean up after myself?
We work on the philosophy of please leave the home as you found it, in general. We will take care of laundering all linens and making beds.
What do I do for food?
You will need to provide your own food if you want to cook. Please see the guidebook for recommendations for both grocery stores and restaurants. Please note The Willow does NOT have a full kitchen. It has a kitchenette.
Can I check in early/check out later?
Feel free to inquire about early check-in packages and late check-out packages for an additional fee.
Can I bring my pet?
Our insurance does not allow pets, no exceptions. Sorry.
Do your homes allow smoking or vaping?
Smoking or vaping is strictly forbidden inside all of our homes and on the exterior decks. However, you can smoke in outside of your entry door, with the door closed. Please use good sense and courtesy regarding your ashes, butts, or other potentially hazardous materials.
What is your cancellation policy?
The guest named on the rental agreement is the only person who may cancel the reservation.
No reservations may be shortened or changed 30 days or less prior to the original arrival date.
- 80% refund if cancelled 60 days prior to the Check-in Date
- 40% refund if cancelled 31-59 days prior to the Check-in Date
- 0% will be refunded 30 days prior to Check-in Date
How do I get into the home I rented?
The day of arrival you will receive an access code for keyless entry or to a lockbox at the door of the home. This way, you can arrive however late suits your schedule and you don't have to worry about meeting anyone in person.
Are your homes handicapped accessible?
Unfortunately no, all of our homes involve some level of stairs.
How are payments handled?
Reservations made less than 30 days prior to your check-in date require payment in full.
In order to make a reservation longer than 30 days prior to your check-in date requires an initial down payment of 50%. The full balance for your stay is due 60 days prior to your arrival date. If payment is not received within 7 days of invoice, we will treat the failure to pay as a cancellation by you of your reservation, we reserve the right to rent the home to another person.
All prior payments will be forfeited, based on the cancellation policy.
What if my guest numbers change after I make a booking?
It happens. Just let us know prior to arrival to make the appropriate change to the reservation, proper additional payment is made for the extra guests and to that we make sure the home is ready for the proper number of guests.
Do you accept service animals?
Yes, we accommodate service animals by prior arrangement. Documented, government-issued proof of service animal status is required.
Why do you charge extra for additional guests? We're renting the whole property anyway, aren't we?
Our homes can vary in size, sometimes housing only 1 or 2, other times 3 or 4. It isn't fair to charge one person the same as 4 people. So based on the size of the house, we charge per person.
Can I have visitors?
We do not allow registered guests to bring any visitors into the home for any length of time. We like guests to know this up front so you can decide if our home suits your needs. Some exceptions may apply for guests staying 30+, please contact us for details.
Do we have security cameras?
Please note that for security purposes, we have cameras posted outside of every home. We like to make sure guests are aware of that. These cameras are used to enforce the number of guests in the reservation. So please be honest with the number of guests to avoid that awkward conversation.
Is Wireless Internet Available?
Yes, each home is equipped with free high speed WiFi. You'll find the password in the Guest Information book at the home.
Are there minimum night stay requirements?
Our minimum stay changes based on the home and season. Feel free to inquire.
Is there a minimum age to rent your homes?
You must be at least 25 years of age to rent our homes. The person who initiates the reservation and signs the rental agreement must have proof of age and must reside in the home for the entire length of stay
What should I expect when it snows?
The Hickory, Willow, and Pines, we subcontract to a professional plow person, therefore we cannot guarantee what time he will arrive. Have your vehicle cleared of snow, so you can move your vehicle, so he can properly clear the entire driveway. If it is a big storm, he will plow twice. You are responsible to shovel your walkway.
What do we need to bring supplies?
We also provide starter supplies of toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, trash bags, dish washing detergent and dish soap. After that you will need to replace these items during your stay.
Can we do laundry at the homes?
The Hickory has a washer and dryer unit.
The Willow does NOT have laundry.
The Pines has a shared washer and dryer unit.
What common items are not included in the kitchens?
We do not guarantee spices, aluminum foil, plastic wrap and condiments. However, we stock some items and previous guests often leave them behind so you may find these in the drawers and cabinets.
Coffee Maker .... is it K-Cup or drip type?
The Hickory has a drip coffee maker.
The Willow has a Keurig maker.
Do you provide daily housekeeping service?
We schedule housekeeping service in between guests. Should you like additional service, please inquire on the price.
Is there a grocery store nearby?
Yes, please see the guidebook for options.
Are hair dryers included?
Hair dryers are included and located in each bathroom.
